IPS Officer Ratanlal Dangi Faces Fresh Legal Trouble as Victim Moves High Court

Bilaspur, August 1, 2026: The legal troubles of suspended IPS officer Ratanlal Dangi have intensified after the complainant approached the Chhattisgarh High Court, seeking judicial intervention in the case.
In her petition, the complainant has sought a fair and impartial investigation, protection for herself, and appropriate directions to ensure effective action in the matter. She has alleged that despite filing serious complaints, adequate action has not been taken and has requested the High Court to monitor the process to ensure a transparent investigation.
The petitioner has also sought protection from any form of intimidation or harassment during the course of the investigation.
The case had earlier triggered widespread attention after the woman levelled serious allegations against the senior IPS officer. Following the allegations, the Chhattisgarh government placed Dangi under suspension and initiated a departmental inquiry. Dangi has denied all allegations and has claimed that he was being blackmailed.
With the matter now before the Chhattisgarh High Court, the case has entered a new legal phase. Further proceedings are expected after the court takes up the petition.
